Before Theo Verweerden founded Lamoral Coatings he held the position of Executive Marketing Director at DSM Corporate. He started his career in 1992 in production and engineering in Morton International. In the years thereafter he moved to business and marketing roles with increased responsibilities. Before joining DSM Theo worked till 2008 as global marketing director with Rohm and Haas. Theo holds a MsC degree in chemical engineering (TUE) , a bachelor degree in business management (UU) and MBA certificates with Wharton, IMD and St. Gallen business schools.
M&S leadership: managed the M&S function and changed a high complex and diversified organization from product centric to become customer centric leading to 100 MM Euro EBIT improvement.
Business growth: as a P&L responsible in Rohm and Haas for 25 MM Euro in coatings and adhesives, integrated acquisition and led cultural transition while growing the top/bottom line above market.
Societal leadership: leading sustainability programs, setting up ventures in Africa in partnership with World Food Program and Clinton Health Access Initiative and driving the sustainability program in DSM
